As the NVOCC Head at Nexumline, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire NVOCC operations, including managing the strategic direction, operational efficiency, and profitability of the division. You will lead a team of professionals, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and develop strategies to expand our NVOCC services and client base.
· Lead and mentor the NVOCC team, including operations, sales, and customer service staff. · Set clear objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and development. · Strategic Planning: · Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the NVOCC division's growth and profitability. · Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments. Operational Oversight: · Oversee day-to-day NVOCC operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. · Monitor and optimize operational processes, including cargo management, booking, documentation, and customer service. · Regulatory Compliance: · Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, industry standards, and company policies. · Stay updated on changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance. Client Relationship Management: · Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, carriers, and other stakeholders. · Address and resolve complex client issues and complaints to ensure high levels of satisfaction. · Financial Management: · Develop and manage the NVOCC division’s budget, including cost control and revenue generation. · Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to achieve financial targets. Market Analysis & Reporting: · Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. · Prepare and present regular reports on the division’s performance, including sales, operations, and financial metrics.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in NVOCC operations, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic management. · Strong understanding of the sea transportation industry, including NVOCC operations, regulations, and market dynamics. · Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. · Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans and drive business growth. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. · Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools, including freight management and CRM systems.
