Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated Junior Accountant with experience in QuickBooks to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day accounting functions, including managing financial records, processing transactions, and preparing financial reports. This role requires a good understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in using QuickBooks to manage financial data effectively.
Responsibilities
- QuickBooks Management: Enter, update, and maintain financial transactions using QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including processing vendor invoices, payments, and customer invoices.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements, balance sheets, and general accounts using QuickBooks.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.
- Process payroll entries, tax deductions, and employee reimbursements through QuickBooks (if applicable).
- Handle daily bookkeeping tasks such as data entry, tracking expenses, and maintaining proper documentation of all financial transactions.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
- Assist with tax filings, compliance reporting, and other regulatory submissions, as needed.
- Collaborate with senior accountants and the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to company policies.
- Conduct research and assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure the proper filing and organization of accounting documents for easy retrieval.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 6 months of experience in accounting, with specific experience working with QuickBooks.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required (Online and Desktop versions).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
