1. Warmly greet and assist patients and visitors with empathy and professionalism. 2. Accurately collect and verify patient information during check-in procedures. 3. Confirm bed availability in respective units prior to admitting or relocating patients. 4. Ensure patient beds and amenities are thoroughly cleaned and prepared before patient transfers. 5. Review patient record files during admission/transfer and organize patient batches, bedside boards, and ward census boards accordingly. 6. Maintain patient records and files in a timely manner, adhering to established protocols. 7. Address queries from admitted patients promptly and assist in resolving concerns effectively. 8. Maintain an accurate in & out register of patients. Offer assistance, counselling, and guidance to patients and their attendants as required. 9. Prepare patient files for discharge and complete all necessary discharge procedures. 10. Conduct daily checks and updates on patients' bed allocations, daily census records and update census/ward boards as needed. 11. Ensure the reception counter remains operational, clean, and organized. 12. Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and facilitate smooth communication. 13. Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely communication and coordination. 14. Notify and coordinate with relevant departments in case of issues or concerns. 15. Uphold confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information of patients and the hospital. 16. Provide support to other units in the event of staff absence or as necessary. 17. Undertake any additional tasks assigned by Ward Manager, In charge, or Supervisor. 18. Notify relevant departments regarding patient admissions, discharges, or transfers. 19. Address patient complaints and escalate issues appropriately. 20. Assist in orienting new Receptionists to job responsibilities and procedures. 21. Contribute to organizational improvement and change projects. 22. Perform additional duties assigned by immediate supervisors. 23. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. 24. Adhere to uniform code and maintain a well-groomed appearance at all times. 25. Exhibit caring, courteous manners and a helpful attitude when interacting with patients, families, and coworkers. 26. Ensure accurate updating of patient meal information in the system.
