Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in road and highway construction projects and be responsible for managing and controlling project costs.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Contract Stage: Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender documents.
- Analyze tender documents and bids from contractors.
- Negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers.
- Post-Contract Stage: Monitor project progress and track costs.
- Prepare interim and final valuations.
- Manage variations and claims.
- Resolve disputes and claims with contractors.
- Prepare payment certificates.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks to the project budget.
- Develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum [Number] years of experience in road and highway construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, specifications, and standards.
- Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
