Junior Django REST API Developer

We are looking for a talented Backend Developer to join our team at Search O Pal. The Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Backend systems using Python, Django, Django REST framework and Test Driven Development (TDD).

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Backend systems using Python, Django, and Django REST framework.
• Collaborate with the frontend development team to integrate the Backend functionality into the user interface.
• Write clean, efficient and testable code using Test Driven Development (TDD) principles.
• Write and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Write use cases and test cases.
• Troubleshoot and debug code to ensure that applications are error-free and function correctly.

Requirements:

• Experience with proven track record in Backend development using:

1. Python
2. Django
3. Django REST framework
4. Test Driven Development (TDD).

• A strong understanding of Backend development principles including:

1. Database design
2. RESTful API development
3. System architecture

• Experience in Cloud technologies such as AWS, MS Azure, GCP

Experience in:

• Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence
• Building scalable and robust systems.
• Test Driven Development (TDD) and writing unit tests.
• PostgreSQL, MySQL and related admin interfaces of both database engines.
• Experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience in Docker.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Git and Version Control.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field
