Design & Estimation Engineer

Job Title: Design & Estimation Engineer Location: Karachi Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: PKR 80,000 – 100,000 per month Job Overview We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design & Estimation Engineer with strong experience in façade, aluminium, glass, and fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing technical drawings, project estimations, BOQs, cost calculations, and accurate material assessments for architectural and construction projects. The candidate should have strong knowledge of façade systems and the ability to coordinate with project and engineering teams to deliver accurate and cost-effective solutions. Key Responsibilities • Prepare detailed designs, shop drawings, and technical drawings using AutoCAD 2D/3D. • Develop accurate BOQs, project estimations, and cost calculations based on project requirements. • Perform material calculations and quantity take-offs for aluminium, glass, façade, and fabrication works. • Review project drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to ensure accurate estimation. • Assist in preparing quotations and cost proposals for projects. • Coordinate with engineering, project, and procurement teams regarding technical requirements and material specifications. • Analyze project scope, identify cost variations, and provide estimation support. • Ensure accuracy and compliance of drawings and estimates with project standards. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree or DAE in Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, or a relevant discipline. • Minimum 3 years of experience in Design & Estimation. • Must have strong knowledge and practical experience in façade systems. • Experience in aluminium, glass, façade, curtain wall, cladding, or fabrication projects will be preferred. • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D. • Strong understanding of BOQ preparation, project estimation, costing, and material calculations. • Good command of MS Excel and MS Office applications. • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
