Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced News Website Manager to oversee the daily operations, content strategy, and technical upkeep of our digital news platform. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in digital journalism, SEO, web analytics, and content publishing.

Responsibilities:

Manage daily news publishing and ensure timely content updates
Collaborate with editors, journalists, and designers to maintain editorial quality
Monitor website performance and analytics to optimize traffic and engagement
Implement SEO strategies to improve visibility and ranking
Ensure the website is technically sound, fast, and mobile-optimized
Coordinate with IT/development teams for any backend or UI/UX issues
Manage social media integration and content distribution strategies
Track trending topics and competitor performance for content insights
Review and approve content for accuracy, tone, and legal compliance
Monitor reader feedback and maintain user engagement through features like polls, comments, and newsletters

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field
Proven experience in managing news or content-based websites
Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Joomla, etc.)
Strong grasp of SEO, Google Analytics, and social media trends
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and website troubleshooting is a plus
