Job Description:
An SEO Team Lead is responsible for managing a team of SEO specialists, overseeing the development and execution of comprehensive SEO strategies, monitoring website performance, identifying optimization opportunities, and ensuring the team delivers high-quality results to achieve client goals, all while staying updated on industry best practices and trends; essentially leading the team to improve organic search rankings and drive website traffic through strategic SEO tactics.
Responsibilities:
SEO Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and website traffic.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of SEO specialists, providing guidance and performance feedback.
Keyword Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify opportunities for optimization and content creation.
On-Page & Off-Page SEO: Optimize website content, meta tags, URLs, and internal linking for better search visibility.
Technical SEO: Collaborate with developers to ensure SEO-friendly site architecture, page speed optimization, and mobile-friendliness.
Content Optimization: Work closely with content writers to create high-quality, search-engine-optimized content.
Backlink Strategy: Develop and execute link-building strategies to improve domain authority.
SEO Audits & Reporting: Perform regular SEO audits, analyze performance metrics, and provide insights using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor strategies and implement improvements to stay ahead in search rankings.
Algorithm Updates: Stay up to date with search engine algorithm changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
Requirements:
- Master degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in SEO with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of Google algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
- Proficiency in SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.).
- Experience in technical SEO, site audits, and structured data implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (preferred but not mandatory).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with eCommerce SEO, local SEO, or international SEO.
- SEO certifications (Google Analytics, SEMrush, HubSpot, etc.).
