Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Overview:

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers fits its purpose. Your role will include analyzing software bugs and errors reported by clients, planning and executing testing strategies, and improving software quality. You will work closely with the development team to identify issues, suggest solutions, and ensure that the final products meet the high-quality standards expected by our users.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop and execute test plans to ensure that all objectives are met and that the software works as expected. Test plans should include aspects such as functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility with other legacy- and / or external systems.
• Identify, document, and report bugs, errors, and other issues encountered during testing.
• Work closely with software developers and other team members to understand the software and analyze any issues that arise.
• Perform both manual and automated testing, understanding the appropriate scenarios for each method.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies, and improve the testing processes by introducing automation, where applicable.
• Ensure that all the quality and regulatory standards are met, especially for software that may be used in regulated fields (such as finance or healthcare).
• Participate in design and specification reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
• Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role.
• Experience in QA methodology and tools, with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Zephyr) and SQL.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
• Strong organizational skills.

Working Conditions:
