Role Summary:

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead a growing team of mid-level full-stack engineers with high potential for team expansion. You will oversee projects from conception to delivery, focusing on technical leadership, system design, solution architecture, and project management. Your role is crucial in maintaining positive relationships with business clients and stakeholders, ensuring project milestones are met, and driving the success of our software development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage software development projects, including backend, frontend, and mobile applications.

Spearhead the development of critical systems utilizing a tech stack centered around TypeScript/JavaScript, including Node.js, React, and React Native.

Design system architecture and ensure the alignment of technical solutions with business needs.

Implement CI/CD pipelines and basic DevOps practices to streamline development processes.

Conduct interviews, mentor team members, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Manage client communications and stakeholder relationships, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded.

Report directly to the C-Suite, serving as the head of software development, and

collaborate with various organizational functions.

Required Qualifications:

5-7+ years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record in technical leadership and project management.

Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, including frameworks like Node.js, React, and React Native.

Experience in managing language and framework-agnostic full-stack development teams and delivering complex software solutions.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and basic DevOps practices. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Performance Metrics:

Success of software development projects and team performance.

Effectiveness in managing time, meeting schedules, and delivering key milestones. Ability to exceed client expectations and maintain high client satisfaction.

Balance cost (time, FTE, resources, budget) versus quality, avoiding over-engineering.
