We are seeking a skilled and reliable Web Developer with proven experience in WordPress to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality websites that align with business goals, meet project deliverables outlined in Project Initiation Documents (PID), and adhere to timelines through active participation in daily stand-up meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive WordPress websites to meet client and internal specifications.
- Translate project requirements documented in PID into functional and visually appealing website components.
- Customize themes and plugins as needed to meet project goals.
- Ensure websites are optimized for performance, SEO, and accessibility.
- Work closely with project managers and other developers to ensure timely delivery.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings to report progress, highlight blockers, and ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting prior to deployment.
- Maintain documentation of code, configurations, and workflows.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in WordPress and web development.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL- not compulsory
Familiarity with WordPress theme and plugin development/customization.
Experience working within Agile methodologies and interpreting PID documentation.
Competence in version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to participate and contribute effectively in daily stand-up meetings.
Experience with SEO best practices, performance optimization, and responsive design.
