Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design and implement visually appealing website layouts and themes using WordPress.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure the website's design aligns with content strategies.
- Ensure websites are optimized for search engines and performance.
- Conduct website testing to ensure functionality across different browsers and devices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends and WordPress updates to suggest improvements and new features.
- Work closely with clients or internal stakeholders to gather website requirements and feedback.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design or functionality issues on WordPress sites.
- Train clients or team members on managing and updating WordPress websites.
Qualifications:
- A strong portfolio of website designs and projects.
- Proficiency in WordPress, including theme and plugin customization.
- Excellent skills in web design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or Sketch.
- Understanding of responsive design principles and best practices.
- Basic knowledge of front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and ensuring designs comply with accessibility standards.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact with clients.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- A degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or related field is preferred but not required with sufficient portfolio evidence.
