Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WordPress Developer with a strong emphasis on backend development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of WordPress core, PHP, and related technologies, and a proven ability to work with code directly, beyond simple theme customization. This role requires a hands-on approach with a focus on building robust, scalable, and high-performance WordPress websites.
Responsibilities:
- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
- Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements.
- Integrate WordPress with third-party APIs and services.
- Optimize WordPress websites for speed, security, and SEO.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WordPress websites.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other team members.
- Stay updated on the latest WordPress best practices and security vulnerabilities.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience developing WordPress websites.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- In-depth knowledge of WordPress core files, functions, and hooks.
- Experience with WordPress REST API.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
