We are seeking an experienced and talented Pastry & Dessert Chef to lead the dessert and pastry section of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, preparing, and presenting high-quality desserts and pastries, ensuring excellent taste, presentation, and consistency in every item served.
This position requires advanced knowledge of pastry arts, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage operations in a fast-paced and high-standard environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and present a wide range of desserts and pastries including cakes, tarts, mousses, breads, and plated sweets.
Design and update dessert menus aligned with international trends and seasonal availability.
Ensure all items meet high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
Supervise junior staff and manage daily kitchen operations related to dessert and pastry production.
Monitor inventory and maintain stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team for event-specific menus and promotions.
Cater to special dietary needs including sugar-free, gluten-free, and vegan desserts.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts with specialization in Pastry & Bakery.
Minimum of 4–6 years of professional experience as a Pastry or Dessert Chef in upscale restaurants, hotels, or patisseries.
Expertise in international desserts, pastry techniques, and modern presentation styles.
Strong leadership, time management, and kitchen organization skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
