SQA Engineer

We need 3 to 5 test engineers. Our work will involve liaising with the Chinese team, so our working hours are flexible.

As the core link for collaboration between Chinese and Pakistani teams, responsible for the full-process testing of the company's products, focusing on cooperating with Chinese R&D and product teams to carry out cross-time zone and cross-regional collaboration, ensuring that testing work is efficiently synchronized with the Chinese team, and promoting product quality improvement and problem closure through proactive communication.

Job Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the comprehensive testing of the company's products (Web, mobile terminals, back-end APIs, etc.), including requirement analysis, test plan formulation, test case design, test execution, defect tracking and regression testing, to ensure that product quality meets the launch standards, and support the testing needs of multilingual (including Urdu and auxiliary Chinese) products.
• Proactively cooperate with the Chinese team (R&D, product, testing) to carry out work, actively communicate test progress, defect status, requirement doubts, etc., timely synchronize various problems in the testing process, ensure smooth cross-regional and cross-time zone collaboration, take the initiative to connect with the work arrangements of the Chinese team and respond to requirements.
• Participate in product requirement reviews and technical solution discussions (cooperating with the Chinese team through online meetings), identify potential quality risks in advance, take the initiative to put forward reasonable optimization suggestions, promote the improvement of requirements and product design, and ensure accurate understanding and in-place execution of requirements proposed by the Chinese team.
• Set up and maintain test environments, configure test data to ensure the smooth progress of test work; sort out English test reports, clearly feed back test results, defect status and product quality, and ensure that the Chinese team can quickly understand test information.
• Promote the optimization of test processes, introduce efficient test methods and tools to improve test efficiency and test coverage; cooperate with the Chinese R&D team to locate and resolve product defects, take the initiative to follow up the closure of issues, and timely feedback the repair progress to ensure efficient collaboration.
• Accumulate test experience, compile English test documents (test cases, test manuals, defect reports, etc.) to form reusable test assets; assist in the test work of product version iterations, cooperate with the iteration rhythm of the Chinese team, and ensure the quality and progress of iterations.

Job Qualifications

• bachelor's degree or above, major in computer-related fields (Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, etc.) is preferred; 1-5 years of relevant testing experience (fresh graduates are acceptable for junior positions, excellent fresh graduates can be relaxed to college degree)
• Language Ability: Fluent in English listening, speaking, reading and writing (essential, as the main language for communication between Chinese and Pakistani teams); native Urdu speakers are preferred; those with basic Chinese communication skills are preferred (able to simply communicate work needs and understand basic Chinese instructions).
• Possess strong proactive communication awareness and communication skills, take the initiative to connect with the Chinese team, be good at expressing problems and feedback needs, be able to efficiently resolve differences in cross-team communication, and have good cross-cultural and cross-time zone collaboration awareness.
• Possess good logical thinking ability, problem analysis ability and execution ability, be rigorous and careful in work, have a strong sense of responsibility, be able to work under certain pressure, take the initiative to undertake work tasks, and actively cooperate with the team to achieve goals.
• Love testing work, have high requirements for product quality, have strong learning ability, be able to quickly adapt to the testing needs of new products and technologies, take the initiative to learn cross-team collaboration skills, and adapt to the work rhythm of the Chinese team.

Professional Requirements

• Testing Expertise: Strong knowledge of various testing types (manual, automated, regression, functional, performance, etc.).
• Programming Knowledge: Understanding of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) to develop automated tests.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret software requirements and translate them into actionable test cases.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in identifying and documenting software issues.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to analyze and resolve software defects.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn new tools and adapt to changing technologies and project needs.

Other Requirements

• Able to work overtime periodically (during product launch and version iteration), obey work arrangements, able to flexibly adjust working hours, and cooperate with the working time zone of the Chinese team

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of testing experience collaborating with Chinese teams, familiar with cross-time zone communication skills is preferred.
• Possess basic Chinese communication skills, able to understand Chinese requirement documents and simple instructions is preferred.
• Possession of relevant software testing certificates (such as ISTQB) and English proficiency certificates (such as IELTS, TOEFL) is preferred.
• Fluent in both Urdu and English, able to independently complete the writing of bilingual test documents, and possess proactive communication awareness and ability is preferred.
