SQA - Engineer (Manual & Automation)

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our client's growing quality assurance team. This hybrid role combines hands-on manual testing with automation expertise, perfect for someone who enjoys both detailed exploratory testing and building robust automated testing frameworks. You'll play a key role in improving our QA processes to ensure our products meet the highest quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing (50%)

● Execute comprehensive manual test cases across web, mobile, and API platforms

● Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and usability issues

● Conduct regression testing for new releases and updates

● Collaborate with product and development teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria

● Document and track defects through resolution

● Participate in test planning and estimation activities

Test Automation (50%)

● Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Jtest

● Create automated tests for UI, API, and integration scenarios

● Follow automation testing standards and best practices

● Review and provide feedback on developer-written automated tests

● Maintain CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution

● Evaluate and recommend new automation tools and technologies

Required Qualifications/Skillset

● 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance

● Strong experience with manual testing methodologies and techniques

● 2+ years of hands-on automation testing experience

● Self learner who is able to explore and learn our product with minimal supervision

● Ability to take ownership of tasks and push forward with testing and advocating for quality despite obstacles

● Strong English communication skills

● Proficiency in at least one automation framework (Jtest a plus)

● Experience with defect tracking tools (Jira a plus)

● Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript and Java

● Experience with creating and managing load testing

● Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)

● Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)

● Experience with test management tools (Qmetry a plus)

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
