Description
- Develop, review, and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational requirements.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for best pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in line with procurement policies and procedures.
- Maintain vendor database, assess performance, and build long-term supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational procurement standards.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and new suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels in coordination with store and lab departments to avoid stock-outs.
- Verify and approve requisitions, quotations, and contracts for accuracy and compliance.
- Work closely with finance for payment schedules, vendor reconciliations, and budget adherence.
- Prepare procurement reports (consumption, supplier performance, price comparisons) for management.
- Mentor and support junior procurement staff in daily operations.
